8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”
10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, and I hid myself.”
God seeks out Adam asking, "Where are you?"
**IMPLICATIONS**
1) Each of us is currently “somewhere” in our lives.
2) We may find ourselves where we ought not to be.
3) Often, we end up in places we never wished to be.
**The Reality of Sin**
Sin Takes Us FARTHER than we ever intended to go.
Sin Keeps Us LONGER than we ever meant to stay.
Sin Costs Us MORE than we ever wanted to pay
Simple Problems [i.e.sin] often have Singular Solutions.
True Salvation, Rescue, Purpose, & Hope — and eternal life — are only found in knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the [h]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 10:9 if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Make the following prayer your own heart cry to God right now:
“Dear God,
— I know that I am a sinner and that my sin separates me from You.
— I understand You are Holy and Just, and I am guilty and lost.
— I believe that Christ died in my place for my sin and rose from the dead.
— I repent of all my sins.
— Right now, I put all my trust in You to forgive my sins.
— By simply believing Your promises, I receive You, Jesus Christ, as my personal Savior.
— I accept Your gift of eternal life; change me — I want to know You intimately.
— Help me follow You and grow in my relationship with You.
— In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
