#3: …by way of a personal relationship with God…

John 3:6-7 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I (Jesus Christ) said to you, you must be born again.

But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God,

even to them that believe on His name.

#4: …resulting in possessing eternal life right now…

And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God,

and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

1 John 5:12-13 12 He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life. 13 These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life

#5: …through simply believing in Jesus Christ alone as your personal Savior.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 10:9, 13 9 That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 13 For whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.

You can use this prayer as pattern to ask God to forgive your sins and give you the gift of eternal life as you transfer all your trust to Jesus, believing and trusting in Him your personal Savior:

“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and I understand that my sin separates me from You.

I believe that Christ died in my place for my sin and rose from the dead.

I repent of all my sins; please forgive me.

I receive You, Jesus Christ, as my personal Savior.

I want to know You, and I want to know the truth.

I ask You to change me and to give me eternal life.

Help me follow You and grow in my relationship with You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
