We will be what He (Jesus Christ) was when by faith we allow Him to be what He is.

Major Ian Thomas has written some excellent summaries of the Christian's relationship to Jesus Christ. He wrote this about Christ:

He (Jesus Christ) had to be what He was

to do what He did.

He had to be the Son of God. No other could have done it.

He had to be God, manifest in the flesh, the eternal,

the immortal one dying upon a cross.

He had to be what He was to do what He did.

And He had to do what He did

that we might have what He is.

We must have what He is

to be what He was.

We will be what He was when by faith

we allow Him to be what He is.
